Terms of Service
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms cover the Wireway app and everything that comes with it (its engine, command line tool and MCP server), the website at wireway.dev, the customer portal at account.wireway.dev, and the licensing and update services (together, "Wireway"). "We" means the Romanian business entity that operates Wireway (business details redacted here, available on request). "You" means the person or company using Wireway.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By downloading, installing or using Wireway, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't download, install or use it, and delete any copy you have. If you accept for a company, you confirm that you may bind it. You must be at least 16 years old to use Wireway.
2. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms at any time by publishing a new version on this page, with a new date at the top. Check this page from time to time. Unless the law requires otherwise, a new version applies from the day it is published, and using Wireway after that means you accept it. If you don't accept a new version, stop using Wireway.
3. Your license to use Wireway
Wireway is commercial software, licensed and not sold. We keep all rights in it, including its source code, name and logo. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on macOS, within your plan and these terms. Open source parts come with their own licenses, included in the app.
4. Plans
- Wireway Free is for personal, non-commercial use only. It is not for commercial use or for companies. No account or key is needed.
- Wireway Trial is for trying Wireway Pro. It lasts 7 days from when you ask for it, on one computer, with one trial per email address and per computer. It then runs as Free. Nothing renews and no card is needed.
- Wireway Pro is for personal and commercial use, including at a company, within these terms and on the number of computers your license allows (currently 2 at a time).
The features and limits of each plan are on the pricing page and in the app, and may change. Free and Trial add a Via header to the requests they send on, naming the plan. Pro doesn't.
5. Buying Pro
- Who sells it. Pro is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles tax, sends the receipt and handles payment disputes. Its own terms apply to the payment.
- Yearly renewal. Pro is a yearly subscription that renews by itself at the price then in effect, until you cancel it at link.com. Each payment adds a year of updates.
- Cancelling. If you cancel, you get no further updates. Your license keeps running as Pro on every version released before your updates end. A version released after that runs as Free unless you renew.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled through Link, subject to its terms and to any rights you have by law. A full refund of a first purchase ends the license, and a full refund of a renewal takes back that year of updates.
- Your right to withdraw. If you are a consumer in the EU you may have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, unless you agreed at checkout to immediate delivery and to losing that right.
6. How a license works
A license is checked with our licensing service. While online, Wireway checks in about every 5 minutes. Each check-in can renew a license file that lasts 14 days, and a file keeps working for 3 more days offline, but never past the end of the license itself. A license that is revoked or has ended, or that hasn't reached our service for about 17 days, runs as Free until the next successful check. Your rules, sessions and schemas stay when that happens, but history older than Free's limit is removed. What is sent in a check-in is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Pro depends on this service. If the service is unavailable for longer than the periods above, or we stop running it, Wireway runs as Free. We may revoke a license that breaks these terms, was refunded or was obtained by fraud.
7. Using Wireway lawfully
Wireway intercepts, decrypts and can change network traffic. Use it only on traffic, apps, devices and networks that you own or are allowed to inspect. You alone are responsible for how you use it, and for following the law, your employer's rules and the terms of any service you test. In particular:
- Traffic you capture can contain passwords, tokens and personal data. It is your job to protect it and to handle it lawfully, including when you export it or give an AI agent access to it.
- Wireway creates a certificate authority that you choose to trust on your devices. Keep it safe. If it leaks, someone could impersonate websites to those devices. Remove it from a device when you no longer need it.
- Rules, replays and agents you connect can change or resend real requests, which can have real effects on the systems they reach. Check what they do before you rely on them.
8. What you may not do
- Use Free for commercial purposes or for a company, or use a trial for anything but trying Pro.
- Share, resell or publish a license key, or get around install, trial or plan limits or the license check.
- Copy, decompile or reverse engineer Wireway, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
- Resell or redistribute Wireway, or build a competing service from it.
- Use Wireway to break the law, to access anything without permission, or to harm others.
- Attack or overload our website or services, or try to get around their security.
9. No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, Wireway is provided "as is" and "as available", with all its faults and without any warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We don't promise that Wireway or our services will be uninterrupted, on time, secure or free of errors, that they will work with your systems, that captured data will be complete or kept, or that any feature, update or service will continue to be offered. Downtime, including of the licensing and update services, can happen at any time and without notice. You use Wireway at your own risk.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage or loss arising from or connected with Wireway, these terms, or your use of or inability to use Wireway. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential and punitive damages, and in particular: loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill; loss, corruption, exposure or disclosure of data; downtime or service interruption of any kind; damage to devices, systems or networks; security incidents; the effects of rules, replays, certificates or connected agents; and the cost of replacement products. This applies whatever the legal basis of the claim, even if we were told the loss was possible.
If we are nevertheless found liable, our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid for Wireway in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, or EUR 10 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can't be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for intentional harm or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury, or the rights a consumer has by law that can't be waived, including rights about the conformity of digital content.
11. Your responsibility to us
If you use Wireway for business, you will compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise from your use of Wireway in breach of these terms or of the law, including claims from anyone whose traffic or data you captured.
12. Ending
You can stop using Wireway at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering Wireway. Sections 7 to 11 and 13 continue after that.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Romania, and the courts of Romania decide disputes. If you are a consumer, this doesn't take away the protections of the law of the country you live in that can't be waived, or your right to go to court there. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms are the whole agreement between us about Wireway. You can't transfer them without our consent, and we may transfer them to whoever takes over Wireway.
